As you wander around Yalikavak you'll come across some cunning ways in which old features of the town have been given a new lease of life. For example, a one-time olive oil press now houses a souvenir shop, while an old water cistern surely makes one of the most unusual art galleries you're even likely to see!

Yalikavak's long, sandy beach is just on the edge of the town, and is situated where the Aegean Sea meets the Mediterranean in a confluence of warm, clear water.

Although a number of Yalikavak's hotels will offer you evening entertainment including late-night discos, you should head south-east from Yalikavak to the maelstrom that is Bodrum for the real action.
